MVP Conference Wrapped Up Today
The MVP Global Summit concluded today, with in-depth sessions for each of the various MVP groups. The three-day summit was both educational, interesting, and entertaining. What I enjoyed most was not the tech talks, but the opportunity to meet and converse with other ASP.NET MVPs with whom I've communicated with many times in the past, but only virtually. I had a good two or three hour chat with Darren Neimke, James Avery, and Andy Smith on a wide variety of topics from Terrarium to XHTML to the future of ASP.NET to the negatives of the code-behind class model. Some smart guys with some interesting and unique views on a wide array of topics. I also had a good half hour talk with Scott Watermasysk about .Text features and architecture.
